“In the last 40 years the world has lost half its wildlife” claimed Sarah Montague on the Today Programme as she introduced Springwatch presenter Martin Hughes Games, who also repeated, unchallenged, the bizarre wildlife extinction claim:

If the WWF figure sounds like cow poop, that’s because it. Even climate change fearing conservationists think it’s a meaningless arbitrary number picked out of thin air.
