Dangerous German Power Surges Into Eastern Europe, Again mdi-fullscreen

Countries neighbouring Germany are spending $180 million installing huge transformers in their power lines to protect themselves from wind power surges. Every time the wind picks up, wind turbines in the north of Germany produce a spike in electricity that spills out into Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria. The overloading is so severe it could start triggering blackouts.

Despite investing heavily in wind power, the Germans have failed to upgrade their power lines so they are capable of dealing with erratic surges in power. And of course went the wind stops blowing, there isn’t any electricity at all. So Energiewende going spinningly then…
