Burnham Not ‘In Crowd’ Spin Unravels

Andy Burnham was keen to go full man of the people in his interview with this week’s Staggers, explaining just how like the man on the street he really is:

This sense of us as a Westminster elite. Really not on a level with people, not understanding the lives of people who’ve traditionally voted for us. That has to change…  I’ve never bought in to the real in-crowd, if you like, in terms of those who spend their Saturdays at Fabian conferences and Progress conferences!”

It was such a powerful line that the chief of the Andy Fandies, ‘Dr’ Eoin Clarke, has even made a graphic:

Because Andy would never spend his Saturday at a Progress conference, would he?

Please, tell us more about this ‘in crowd’…

Quote of the Day

Rowan Atkinson tells The Times

“All jokes about religion cause offence, so it’s pointless apologising for them. You should really only apologise for a bad joke. On that basis, no apology is required.”
