Another Kinnock Election Defeat

Labour Red Prince Stephen Kinnock may have just won the safe seat of Aberavon, but things haven’t panned out so well for his wife, Denmark’s first female prime minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt. She resigned as leader of her party this morning as she conceded defeat in yesterday’s election.

The Kinnocks had enjoyed a House Of Cards style pact during Helle’s time in power, with Stephen planning his life around his wife’s political ambitions, dutifully flying in to see her most weekends from his job at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. Guido hears the Valleys are lovely this time of year…

Quote of the Day

“All jokes about religion cause offence, so it’s pointless apologising for them. You should really only apologise for a bad joke. On that basis, no apology is required.”
