Two hours until the noon deadline for Labour leadership nominations, and Jeremy Corbyn is edging closer to the 35 votes he needs to get on the ballot:

Sadiq Khan is also nominating someone he doesn’t think could win Labour an election:
“After a defeat of this scale, the Labour Party needs to have the widest possible debate. I won’t be voting for Jeremy Corbyn and I don’t think he can lead us to election victory in 2020. But I do know that across the Labour family many share Jeremy’s views on a number of matters – I believe these should be heard and tested in a democratic process. That’s why I will be nominating Jeremy, in the hope he makes it onto the ballot.”
Corbyn backers say expect a flurry of late nominations…
