Prince Charles Backs Toothfish

teeth charles

Prince Charles wrote to the then Fisheries Minister, Elliot Morley in 2004 to express concern over little known species of cod.

“I particularly hope that the illegal fishing of the Patagonian Toothfish will be high on your list of priorities…”

The Prince then continued by politely inquiring whether the Royal Navy could be drafted in to help..

By the way, I wonder whether any thought might have been given to the possible role that could be played by the navies of the countries associated with the High Seas Task Force?… I daresay you will tell me there are all sorts of legal problems that prevent any worthwhile action…!

Nothing fishy going on at all…

Quote of the Day

Councillor John Thomas, Keith Vaz’s Leicester East Constituency Labour Party Chairman says…

“This is great disappointment to me, realising that I have spent over 30 years of my life working for a party that I now know that I have nothing in common with. This is not the party I joined, the party for decent working people. I can no longer follow the clown that leads the Labour Party, he is heavily influenced by the Trotskyite Len McCluskey and is now as the Hoki Coki leader, in out, and shake it all about he has turned this great party into a laughing stock.”
