The President of Vanuatu has blamed the cyclone that ripped apart his island nation on climate change. Speaking at a United Nations world conference, the leader of the tiny nation blamed everything from sea levels to the storm itself on man made global warming. His comments have already been seized upon by scientists, demanding a cut in carbon emissions so as to avoid the next natural disaster.

So, it wasn’t shoddy infrastructure. Or the fact that the South Pacific has a cyclone season…
