Labour’s squeaky clean Treasury select committee rent-a-quote John Mann is very hot on party funding this morning, having a little whinge about big Tory money in his constituency:

That would be the same John Mann who, new Electoral Commission figures reveal, has just bagged a £2,500 donation from mega-bucks CVC Capital private equity adviser Sir Trevor Chinn. Chinn has also given Labour £25,000 in the last quarter. If only there was someone Guido could phone for a comment…
