Thanks From the Indian Space Research Organisation

Success! British taxpayers will be delighted to learn that India’s mission to Mars is complete, with the Mangalyaan spacecraft orbiting the Red Planet last night. The Mars Orbiter Mission cost £45 million, or 6% of the £800 million in overseas aid Britain has sent to India since 2010.

Once again, the Indian Space Research Organisation would like to say thank you for all the money:

Not a bad time for UKIP to pledge a 90% cut in overseas aid at their party conference…

Quote of the Day

Andrea Leadsom told BBC Radio 4’s Today

“He’s made his views on Brexit on the record, and the problem with that of course is that the chair’s impartiality is absolutely essential. … He’s made his views known on Brexit… it’s a matter for him but nevertheless it’s a challenge and all colleagues need to form their own view of that.”
