Sports fans will be aware that the controversial owner of Hull City, Assem Allem, is under fire after announcing plans to rebrand the club as the “Hull Tigers”. The marketing move has sparked uproar from supporters, who understandably consider this an attack on their historical identity. Allem showed his true colours when he said of protesting fans:

“They can die as soon as they want, as long as they leave the club for the majority who just want to watch good football.”
