Danny Alexander was let out for the evening last night to give a speech in the City about Europe. The Chief Sec stood in front of the banner above, which he described as “a small illustration of our message”.  Poor thing must have forgotten when he pledged:

“The European Union has evolved significantly since the last public vote on membership over thirty years ago. Liberal Democrats therefore remain committed to an in/out referendum”.

What that picture does not show is the LibDem’s path is pointing straight over a cliff…
