Bizarrely four Labour MPs were calling for a closer relationship between Britain and Iran at PMQs today. It didn’t go unnoticed:
After rejecting Obama plan on Syria, Labour MPs seem v.keen for us to cosy up to Iran. Have I missed something?

Something tells me Iranian lobbyists have got to Labour MPs. There should be a law #PMQs

Very, um, sanguine take on Iran from Labour backbenchers. #PMQs

This disturbing turn of events was compounded by Angela Eagle popping up on the Daily Politics afterwards to spin for the Iranian regime. When it was pointed out that the new President has called for the “extermination” of protesters she replied “I said he was more moderate I didn’t say he was a democrat”. Perhaps, as a lesbian, Angela should visit Tehran to see just how moderate Labour’s new chums really are.
