The BBC are now running the Twitter spoof saga. Guido understands that the owner of the Daily Mail, Lord Rothermere, has thrown his weight behind the bid to silence the Northcliffe twitter spoof account. Sources familiar with the case tell Guido that Rothermere was furious after the spoofer referenced allegations concerning a New Zealand love child and an alleged affair with a nanny:

Guido has also learned that the owner of the parody Steve Auckland account is to take legal advice to try to stop Twitter releasing his personal details next week. He will hold discussions with a San Francisco attorney this afternoon after the lawyer offered to take the case on pro bono. He’s not going down without a fight, and the cavalry are coming…
