Let Them Eat Yeo

Guido has long suspected Al Gore to be off his rocker, and finally the green goddess has started cracking up publicly. Last week he went on a “bullshit” littered rampage at anyone who doesn’t agree with his dodgy stats. Guido recommends he has a read of Matthew Sinclair’s latest offering Let Them Eat Carbon. It might just be enough to push him completely over the edge…

Flicking through the study of who is getting rich in the big climate scam, Guido was particularly amused to see his old chum Tim Yeo pop up time and again. Though an expert in how to make money in the green world, it seems the Chairman of the Energy Select Committee hasn’t quite got his head around the theory:

“In his book Green Gold, Tim Yeo MP breathlessly cited an investment in that freight network as evidence that ‘more and more countries are […] recognising the advantages of high speed rail’. He reported that:

In America, Warren Buffett has just made his biggest ever investment – in a railway business.

Can you guess what carbon-intensive commodity Warren Buffett’s trains are going to be moving?

Coal.”

Best stick to greasing up green investors Tim. On taxpayer’s property…

Quote of the Day

President Trump on May’s Brexit deal:

“I would say that Brexit is Brexit. … The people voted to break it up. So I would imagine that’s what they’ll do. But maybe they’ll take a different route, I’m not sure that’s what they voted for.”
