The Electoral Reform Society are holding their summer reception– “Welcoming The AV Referendum” – on Wednesday, July 28. The House is going into recess early – on July 27. MPs will have the buckets and spades ready for the mass exodus to the beach which will start immediately, so don’t expect a massive turn-out from MPs.

They better hope their campaign is better organised, though the bookies do give them the edge with a 64% probability to win a yes vote for AV in the referendum. Guido reckons it might be a bit closer than punters think…
