We are repeatedly told that neither Miliband or Johnson have a campaign team. Guido just made contact with one of the people on standby for one of those leadership campaigns that supposedly doesn’t exist. He sounded down in the dumps. His challenger candidate will not show his hand, nor he says will the other side. Both sides are hoping for a PLP rebellion which they fear won’t come.  Blairites connected to neither camp plan to speak out tonight in favour of ABG – Anyone But Gordon.  Team Brown are totally focused on keeping Gordon in power at any cost, with  Mandelson putting it about that the result of a leadership contest would be Prime Minister Harman. Would that actually be worse than the Prime Mentalist?
