Newsnight’s pollster Frank Luntz will have a shock result tonight for Labour contenders. The controversial pollster’s findings propelled Cameron’s candidacy on the eve of the last Tory conference. BBC editors find out the results in two hours and the viewers tonight.
Gordon Brown’s own pollsters will not be surprised – he is deeply disliked by the British people who see his character as fundamentally malign. Luntz’s findings back that up.
The shock will be that Alan Johnson, who is seeking to project himself as the smiling housewife’s choice, the ex-postie who is a real human, has had no impact with voters. Luntz will show that is John Reid who is by far the voters preference.
