An Apology to Jo Twist

In the post New Media Totty Guido reported that IPPR’s new media wonk, Jo Twist, was a former CBeebies TV presenter. Extensive email correspondence with Ms Twist has established that this was incorrect.

Ms Twist started at Children’s BBC on Newsround, not as a CBeebies presenter.

At the BBC she says she was “called upon to explain complex technology/answer Q[uestion]s in my capacity as a technology expert at the BBC, journalists with expertise in specific areas are often equired to work across different platforms. Even Ceefax.” Guido apologises for any confusion.

I cannot support an indefinite backstop arrangement, where the EU holds a veto over our ability to exit…”
