Lembit Öpik has launched an airline. No really. The slogan is “We’ll take you all the way” – in twin-propellor planes. Still no news as to when he plans to take fiancé Sian up the aisle.
The airline details are here. The planes fly at only 175mph, which is a little faster than the Eurostar and a lot slower than a 500mph jet. The webpage quotes a 3 hour 40 minute flight time to Geneva for £4035 with complimentary drinks.
Their planes can take up to 5 passengers, who should all have strong bladders, because there are no facilities on these planes…
