Guido is advised that the infamous photo-op grafitti in Bromley is still there today. This is the graffiti that Ben Abotts, the LibDem candidate was photographed “cleaning” off the wall in marigolds and eye goggles. In reality, once the photo was taken, the now smudged grafitti was left on the wall and Ben was off to the next next photo-op. The posed picture appeared on a leaflet.

If Bob Neill was sharp, he’d get down there with some young Conservatives first thing Monday morning and clean it off for real. It would show that his somewhat graceless victory speech contained a truth – the LibDem campaign was dirty and deceptive to the point of outright lying to the voters. It might even make a good photo-op…
