The Times’ Canvass Returns

The Times spoke to Lib Dems and asked how they intended to vote. Of 171 members, 52 (30.5%) said that their first preference votes would go to Chris Huhne, 42 (24.5%) to Sir Menzies Campbell and 32 (19%) to Simon Hughes. Huhne has uploaded another bar-chart, as is traditional in LibDem circles showing, yes, you guessed it, he is winning here!

The remaining 45, or 26%, were undecided. Many will wait until the candidates have appeared on BBC One’s Question Time tomorrow night.

Guido understands that a number of bookies including William Hill, are not taking bets currently. The market is just too crooked…

Quote of the Day

Hamas offer only a qualified endorsement of the Labour Party’s leader…

“We Salute Jeremy Corbyn’s supportive positions to the Palestinians, but the issue of him as a prime minister is an internal British issue and we respect the choice of the British people.”
