Real Liberals, Real Orange Book

Mark Oaten is the right-wing candidate of the Orange Book faction for the LibDem leadership. Guido notes that the Liberal Online bloggers (slogan “for free markets not corporatism”) consider themselves to be the real liberals and the heirs of liberal radicals like Richard Cobden. Their Orange Book is Ludwig von Mises’ Human Action, which is treatise on economic liberalism which rejects all forms of collectivism.

Don’t expect it to figure on Simon Hughes’ reading list.
