Still no media sightings of David Willets campaigning for Basher Davis. Has Conway locked him up in a cellar? Is there a threat of two brains being beheaded? Until we see Willets on TV, unbruised and unaccompanied by a minder we will worry. Guido will refuse to believe that Willets is safe until we hear him speaking freely about tax policy. If he supports £38 billion of tax cuts we will want to know one thing – where are his children being held?
