Radio 4 have got a series starting Monday, (Look Back at Power) where 8 former SpAds and spin merchants will apparently tell all about Blair’s Downing Street. The Beeb’s press office reckons they will reveal that they are a bunch of control freaks, who pander to the media, focus groups and middle-England with policy-making as “an abstract game of positioning” disengaged from reality. Initiativitis is the affliction from which they suffer, resulting in policies made on the fly to make headlines.

We know this already, but it sounds like it could be interesting.

Quote of the Day
