D-Notice LiftedWe’re All Going On A Summer Holiday mdi-fullscreen
Guido understands that the D-notice on saying where Tony went for his holidays (Barbados) has been withdrawn.

Readers of this blog knew where he was yesterday (see below). Guido doesn’t think he is the cause, but it ends a farce that was all very bizarre – state secrecy about where Tony was swimming, but not what he was wearing and even pictures of him in swim-shorts in the tabloids. What security issue? Everyone in the media knew, so if the Guardian newsroom knows, surely their trainee jihadi journalists know and can email it to their allies in al Qaeda – assuming of course that al Qaeda can not use Google.

Anyway, tomorrow readers of the dead-tree-press will know as well. Remember you read it here first…

UPDATE : Apparently the blackout was lifted at 11.15am this morning.

UPDATE II: Downing Street still doesn’t want you to know where he is staying exactly. So the press won’t say “Blair at Cliff Richards’ Barbados retreat on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean”*. My advice to any terrorists on the look out for Blair is – ask any taxi driver where he is when you land at Grantley Adams International Airport. You can also score some wicked grass from your driver.

UPDATE III: Adam Boulton apparently told Sky News viewers where Blair was three weeks ago – unaware that it was a state secret.

*Guido is of course referring to Blair’s previous visit to the Batchelor Boy’s Barbados mansion.
