Guido has drawn attention to Tony Baldry before, a Tory MP with so many business interests that its hard to see how he manages to find time to fully represent his constituents. With the latest revelations about his African lobbying on behalf of his business interests, pressure is growing within Tory circles for him to go.

He only manages to turn up for half the votes in the Commons in between being Chairman of XiMed PLC, Transense Technologies PLC, Angel Gate Limited, Red Eagle Resources PLC; Biometrics Security Quantum Inc., Multi Media Television plc, Psi X pda Ltd, Diamond Film Partnership, Medpharma PLC, Mastermailer Group Limited, and 3DM PLC. One wonders how he finds the time to serve his shareholders as well as his voters, even his research assistant works for the Lighting Industry Federation.

Still time for him to stand down and make way for a new younger, more focused candidate to be selected to fight the election.
