Over at Sandra Gidley MP’s blog there is some debate about another complaint by her about a Tory “smear” leaflet which she says constitutes “a personal attack” that pains her. Some (not Guido) have questioned the veracity of her account. So I suggested she fax or email me the smear leaflet. Last night she replied thus;
“I can assure you that I am not in the business of lying – life is too short. I will get the leaflet faxed to you and hope that you will show yourself to be an honourable gentleman (nay – even an honourable rogue) and broadcast the fact on your web-site… “
No sign of the offending leaflet yet… fax number is 070-9201-2337 in case you have lost it.
UPDATE: Tory campaigners email to insist no such smear leaflet, no use of the offending “What has Sandra Gidley done about MRSA?” phrase. Its 2 days since Ms Gidley denied lying and told me she would get the leaflet faxed over. No hurry. But I will be mentioning it every day.
