Jim Cran MP has been dubbed “The Invisible Cran” because of his low profile in the House of Commons. In the last year, he has put no questions to ministers and made no speeches in the Commons.

According to his expense account, it seems he is the only MP in the country to not claim a single penny for letters or stamps. His expenses were much less than the five other MPs who represent East Yorkshire’s voters.

Apparently Mr Cran works hard as a member of the Defence Select Committee. He is we know retiring at the next election, but something tells me has already taken early retirement. We need more MPs like Jim Cran, the less they do, the better off we are…
