Have just discovered Polidex, the online trading game for UK MPs.
Now we can all buy and sell MPs – but you knew that already. Seems like harmless fun and easy to understand. You buy MPs you think others will buy, you are paid a dividend if you hold them. I don’t seem to see a facility for shorting them – if I did I would short Peter Mandelson (he is no longer an MP chaps, do pay attention Polidexers).

Anyway besides an imaginary £1000 it gives you the facility to set up leagues – and I have done one for us political bloggers to pit our wits and punditry against each other.

The details you need are as follows :

League name: Bloggers

Validation code: 65log

Bring it on ye Bloggers!

UPDATE: Nick Barlow, Labour Watch, Biscit have already joined. Still no sign of Stephen Pollard, c’mon Polly, a know-it-all “insider” like you is sure to win.

UPDATE: Recess Monkey is in, as are Anthony Wells and AndyT, Azeem Azhar and Cumbrian Loiner have also joined the battle. An email arrives from The Swordsman himself, to tell me he will be swinging England’s Sword for all he’s worth (currently £1,000).

UPDATE: Some non-entity called Tom Watson emails “very tempting, very tempting indeed!”

Quote of the Day

Responding to Corbyn’s statement that the US should have arrested ISIS leader, al-Baghdadi, John Mann bluntly tweeted:

Baghdadi blew himself up with a suicide belt. An arrest might have been slightly difficult in these circumstances.”
