Battle-Scarred Berger Bag-Carrier Honoured By Liz

Guido would like to offer his warmest congratulations to Sheila Murphy, who was bestowed the honour of becoming a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty in the Queen’s Birthday Honours this weekend. A proud political activist, Sheila offered the most selfless of sacrifices to her Labour Party: devoting her life to becoming a parliamentary assistant to Luciana Berger. Presumably the MBE was for services to bravery and professionalism in the face of grave danger. She deserves all the medals…

Angry Berger Distances Herself From “Mr Miliband”

Labour’s Liverpool Wavertree MP Luciana Berger has spoken out over Ed Miliband’s photo with the Sun, distancing herself from the Labour leader, who she calls “Mr Miliband”.

“I welcome the fact that Labour leader Ed Miliband has today made clear that he understands the anger that people on Merseyside feel toward the Sun. I understand and I share that anger…

When asked to pose for a picture to support the England football team at the World Cup, Mr Miliband agreed. He has today apologised.”

Meanwhile a Labour Liverpool councillor has stepped down…

Tough on Guido, Tough on the Causes of Guido

Following today’s launch of the Guido Fawkes parliamentary bullying hotline, one young hopeful gets in touch to share their experience of bossy Luciana Berger:

“I was once interviewed by Luciana for an assistant role. Part of the interview task was setting out how you would advise Luciana if a story about her was published by Guido. Very good task, in hindsight.”

Guido hopes the unlucky assistants currently working in Luciana’s office haven’t had too rough a day…

Not So Lovely Luciana: You Won’t Like Her When She’s Angry
Bossy Berger Gets Through 15 Staffers Since 2010

Luciana Berger’s colleagues were amused to hear she had hosted a round-table summit on “well-being in the workplace” last week. As Guido revealed in yesterday’s Sun column, not so lovely Luciana’s record as a nightmare boss is the stuff of Westminster legend. Berger has had no fewer than 15 assistants since becoming an MP in 2010. They are: Hadyn Belfield, Eve Byrne, Katherine Thompson, Richard Durber, Jason Keen, Geila Alpion, Kaitlyn Degnen, Joe Fortune, Daniel Whittle, Ryan Jones, David Clinton, Rebecca Rowland, Thomas Caygill, Sarah Mills and Sheila Murphy. One bruised aide tells Guido: “She’s the worst of the lot.” The true number could even be higher, as some staffers may not have lasted long enough to be registered.

If any current or former staffer who has felt Luciana’s wrath would like to talk about their experience, in complete confidence, they can contact Guido’s new hotline for parliamentary staff who have been bullied in the workplace on 0709 284 0531, or at this email address. Discretion guaranteed…

Who does she think she is, David Ruffley?

UPDATE: Luciana tweets:

Don’t say Guido didn’t warn you…

Berger’s Climate Change Whopper

“David Cameron hasn’t spoken about climate change for three years” screeches the headline of Luciana Berger’s particularly weak piece for the Staggers today. Just the one problem: she is talking complete rubbish. Obviously a quick Google of “David Cameron climate change” was beyond poor old Luciana, so Guido thought he would help her out. According to They Work For You it turns out Dave has mentioned climate change 32 times in Hansard over the last three years. Hopefully Luciana will learn the lesson of getting your headline right. Rather than chasing headlines and forgetting facts…

Labour Suspend Dissident Councillor

20 year-old Jake Morrison’s last ditch plea to Miliband to save his position in the party has fallen on deaf ears. Luciana Berger’s attempt to purge him yesterday has been successful:

It does seem particularly unfair that a young councillor just beginning his career in politics, who has given his life to the party, should be knifed merely because he had the temerity to stand up for himself rather than toe the party line. Even more so considering he was forced out by Berger, when surely a councillor should be accountable to his voters rather than his local MP. Dissenters have been warned…

Berger Boots Out Arnie Graf Rebel

berger

Liverpool’s youngest ever councillor Jake Morrison claims Luciana Berger has forced him out after he failed to attend a training session with Miliband’s new American campaigning guru Arnie Graf and collect a copy of “a very comprehensive agreed script” of the party line. He says in a letter to Ed“Luciana, a privately educated MP from London, who has came to Liverpool and made my life unbearable. At every opportunity Luciana has undermined me, rather than supported”. You can see why:

Dear Jake

I understand from your tweets that you have been knocking on members’ doors. As you will be aware from the many emails that Sheila has sent you, and which you have sadly ignored, we have had a training session with Arnie Graf from which the Wavertree CLP Members’ ID scheme was launched, and we now have a very comprehensive agreed script and process. Indeed we went out on Tuesday with an Old Swan councillor to start the activity off, and which was very successful.

You have not replied to any of the emails confirming your availability for the summer campaign which includes member engagement. You have not visited the office to collect a copy of the script, which includes a list of all the forthcoming CLP events which we are inviting members to. You have not engaged with the constituency in some time and have chosen not to discuss your facebook/twitter resignation announcement with either the officers of the CLP, branch, your co councillor or indeed myself.

Of the 14 Labour councillors in the Wavertree Constituency you are the only one who chooses not to engage with my office, or get involved with our constituency activities. I have also had a number of complaints raised with me about your behaviour and action with regard to the Heygreen school going into special measures and the MANWEB field.

I am copying in Joe and Alan Dean by way of a formal complaint about your behaviour and your complete lack of team work and respect for other members.

I would appreciate a response

Luciana Berger

One man standing up to Arnie Graf’s wishy washy rhetoric knifed by the party machine. Save the Liverpool Wavertree one…

Overnight News

In these austere times we can always rely on Derek Draper to show solidarity with the workers:

His close friend Gloria was showing a bit of leg:

Love is in the air according to a co-conspirator propping up the conference bar in the Jury’s Inn Hotel.

“Luciana and Chuka arrived hand in hand at the bar at Jury’s very late last night and were all over each other. It maybe back on.”

The beautiful people back together, Guido loves a happy ending…

Have you read the last bit of Animal Farm?

You know where the animals are looking through the Farmhouse window?

My TV screen was that window at lunch-time today.

Be careful, the sudden self-congratulatory tone, the slightly pudgy outline of indulgence and you become exactly what you should despise.

The jolly face of the Quisling Cameron poses for your camera has mesmerised and deceived you, you who were once not so deceived.

You were no firebrand, you were a damp squib in my opinion, sorry.

You need a damned good kick up the ahse!
