Labour have realeased another video attacking the party on 9% in the polls rather than the party that will likely beat them on the 22nd. Guido would love to see what secret polls Dougie Alexander is looking at that show a pending LibDem resurgence. Something must explain his obsession. Still, it’s better than the last one…
Tory MP Henry Smith should read Guido more carefully. His Point of Order this morning claimed “it has been reported that the party opposite has received significant donations from AstraZeneca as a company” and that Miliband failed to declare this at PMQs. The Speaker correctly replied that party donations would not be a matter for individual members to declare in the House.
Yet, as Guido revealed yesterday, the donation was actually from an AstraZeneca board member, rather than the company, and was made to Miliband personally, not to the party. If this had been raised as the Point of Order Bercow would surely have required the Labour leader to clarify…
The Deputy Prime Minister fielded a call on knife crime from a Paul Whitehouse impressionist on LBC this morning:

A smiling Boris swerved the question on whether or not he would stand for parliament in 2015 on LBC:
BJ: “The chances of me being Prime Minister…”
NF: “That’s not quite the question. What about Boris two jobs Johnson?”
BJ: “The job of Mayor of London is the best in British politics.”
Will he ever be PM?
BJ: “It’s not going to happen.”
NF: “Ever?”
BJ: “Of course not.”
