Leading apprenticeship provider, Pera Training, and the Million Jobs campaign, are delighted to invite you to their Conservative Party fringe event: “Building a 21st Century Workforce”.
When: Tuesday, 30th September, from 1230 – 1400
Where: Soprano Room, Hyatt Regency Hotel, 2 Bridge Street, Birmingham B1 2JZ (adjacent to the conference centre and within the secure zone).
Speakers: Andrew Jones MP, Apprenticeship Ambassador to Parliament; Sara Caplan, Head of Further Education and Skills, PwC, Marion Osborne, Interim Director, Million Jobs and Lewi Griffiths, Director, Pera Training.
A buffet lunch and Prosecco will be served.
Both organisations are committed to helping policymakers from all parties set the path for the apprenticeship revolution this country needs.
The fringe event will also highlight the findings of a report, launched in Parliament earlier this month, entitled: “Varsity Blues: Time for apprenticeships to graduate?”
Varsity Blues is the first report of its kind in the UK directly to compare the earnings, employment and taxpayer returns of graduates with those of apprentices.
It shows apprentices have more favourable earnings and employment rates compared to a significant proportion of graduates, particularly those from ‘new’ universities.
