Loony LibDem Candidate Boycotts BBC Over Gaza

Where do the LibDems find ‘em? The party’s ambitious candidate to be Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands, who was given a glowing reference on LibDemVoice just a few weeks ago, is something of a wannabe David Ward. Ayoub Khan has shown his campaigning genius by boycotting the BBC over their “biased” coverage of Gaza:

FROM: Ayoub Khan
TO: Kathryn Stanczyszyn
11 August 2014

Whilst it is in the interest of any candidate to promote themselves and attract voter support on mainstream media, particularly in a by-election, I have decided not to do this with the BBC because their broadcasting of the Gaza situation has been biased. One has to live with ones own conscience and I refuse to participate with organisations such as the BBC who in the view of so many, have acted in such an unfair manner.

Barrister Khan’s other credentials include being accused of lying in court, while on his website he modestly says: “Some people call me a hero, but I just did what anyone would do.” You have to wonder what BBC journalists risking risking their lives in Gaza think about being called Israeli propagandists by armchair activists back in Britain…

To be fair Channel 4 News and Al Jazeera provided the best, most critical and balanced coverage of Gaza, and are the news leaders re everything these days, the once respected BBC News being a bit of a joke, and has been for some time.

Newsnight gets it right now and then.

To call the LibDem (I’ve no love for the Dems) a looney for his views seems a bit much.

Many BBC journalists wonder while they risk their lives filing factual reports and then see them “economised” or distorted by subeditors in the UK to change their sense to satisfy a Westminster political agenda. That there is an overbearing dominance of political interference in the presentation of our news is to state the bleeding obvious within 30secs of hearing the news. It is a State media channel. BBC lies helped take us to war in Iraq, it took us to war in Afghanistan, it helped topple Libya’s government, and magically it has not yet toppled Syria’s government but only at the price of enabling IS with weaponry. The reporting the BBC tells us about Russia and Ukraine are every bit as selective and if I were a BBC journalist in Ukraine I would come home and make the stuff up safe in my bedroom.

This LibDem candidate may not be as loony as you say. The UK and US governments support the slaughter in Gaza and the BBC does not say boo to a goose.

Some don’t even bother with anything than the Bar Finals (as were) and are fit to serve coffee.
Others don’t even bother to obtain any legal qualification and become Lord Chancellor. When he gets ejected from the system, he might get some dispensation from the SRA for practical training for his practical experience in service. Given his work to date, that should get him out of the using the telephone course, and how to use a knife and fork.

Ayoub Khan must be taking for granted that people understand his point.
The BBC seems very willing to endlessly fill the news with suffering victims, who are being wilfully placed in danger by Hamas. The Israeli coverage is restricted to a bloke in a suit making a statement.

      You are absolutely right.

The BBC has been really sneaky by refusing to show all the suffering Israeli victims, the bombed Israeli schools and market places – and the hundreds of dead / maimed / paralysed / orphaned Israeli children.

      Oh, wait a minute.

…I am more selective about who my Friends are…

Same place Tories got Baroness Warsi, so concerned about Gaza, Labour got Saddiq Khan, so concerned about extradition of someone found guilty of a terrorism offence.

All three parties should be vetting people for belief in totalitarian ideologies such as Sharia, Co mmunism and Na(r)zism

David Cameron drug policy reformer and leadership contender in 2005…

“Politicians attempt to appeal to the lowest common denominator by posturing with tough policies and calling for crackdown after crackdown. Drugs policy has been failing for decades.”

“Digger” Murdoch says:

Is it just me, or is Nigel Farage just a top hat and a monocle away from being a Batman villain?
