LibDem and David Ward Statements in Full

A statement from David Ward:

“I utterly condemn the violence on both sides in Israel and Gaza.

“I condemn the actions of Hamas, and my comments were not in support of firing rockets into Israel. If they gave the opposite impression, I apologise.

“However, while I defend the right of Israel to exist and defend itself, I will continue to speak out for the rights of the Palestinian people who are facing untold suffering. More must be done by the world community to end this humanitarian crisis and protect the families living in Gaza. I can understand their plight and desperation.

“A cease fire in this conflict is essential. If we are to end the suffering, and establish a safer society for people in Gaza, the first step must be an end to violence on both sides.”

A spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats said:

“This is a categorical apology from David Ward. In light of this apology, the party and the whips will decide in due course if further disciplinary action should be taken.”

Disciplinary process

The rules of the Parliamentary Party require a formal meeting between the Chief Whip and David Ward. This will take place in due course.

    Nick Clegg says:

    Hummus Allahu Akbar

    Step One: Prepare your chickpeas

    1. Soak your chickpeas. I like to soak them in hot water for 8 hours or overnight.
    2. Rinse the chickpeas, and then pour then into another pot and boil them until tender, about one hour. If you have a pressure cooker (I don’t), you can use that and the chickpeas will be done in no time.

*Note: I like to make large batches of chickpeas. After you have boiled your chickpeas, you can portion them and freeze them for later use. I like to freeze mine in two-cup baggies, nested in a freezer bag. This will make your next batch of hummus come together in no time!

    Step Two: Make your hummus.

2 cups chickpeas, still warm, or cold and peeled
    1/4 cup tahini
2 1/2 fresh lemons, or about 8 tablespoons lemon juice
    1-2 cloves of garlic, pasted
    1 tsp sea salt
    2 tbsp yogurt (optional)
Additional water (or cooking liquid from chickpeas) to thin

Optional: add in 1 tsp cumin for a smokey flavor.

    1. Pour tahini and lemon juice into your food processor and pulse until creamy and pale in color.

    2. Add salt, and pasted garlic to your lemon-tahini sauce.

    3. Pour chickpeas and sauce into a food processor and blend until well incorporated. Add yogurt and process again for another minute. Then add as much water as you want to achieve your desired thinness. Taste and adjust seasonings.

    4. Let this all run in your food processor until silky smooth, for a couple of minutes.

    5. Refrigerate for a couple of hours for best flavour.

Serve drizzled with olive oil, and any of the following: sprinkled with paprika and cumin, and garnished with chickpeas, olives, pickles, or parsley.

Step Three: Get off your face on Tequila.

Step Four: Go and fire some rockets into Isráel (possibly).

The Establishment is infested with Nonces says:

There is a difference between advocating an action and understanding an action.

It is possible to understand why a person would want to fire rockets at the nation which may have kiiled your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter. Encouraging it or advocating firing rockets is a whole other matter.

If a foreign state you hated killed a member of your family, and you had the ability to hit them with rockets, would you not be tempted?

Of course it does not make it right, and it is a very rare person who can forgive those who kill a member of their own family. Many people are first attracted into terrorism, as revenge for such killings. As I say, that does not make it right and I condemn terrorism, both from the individual and from the state, But I can understand the motivation. In the case of Gaza, this is made even stronger when those tempted into terrorism are encouraged to Die for Allah by their own leaders.

Keep in mind that SAM’s like the BUK-1 or SA-11 have a very obvious signature, and back-tracking these devices is routine. Consider also that the US had a satellite over the area, plus intell and monitoring on the ground. Now add the two together, and you can see that Uncle Sam’s utter failure to provide ANY real info. on this incident gives a cleiasbar message. For the hard of understanding, let me translate it. ‘The rebels didn’t do it. The Ukies did but we can’t go back on our idiot politicians’ initial knee-jerk responses because its too embarrassing.’

In fact the stop the war coalition wants the war to continue, every ceasefire they foist on Israel means hamas rearms and then attacks Israel again and again. The real blame for every civilian death lays squarely with hamas and its left wing friends in the West who keep giving hamas aid and comfort.

No idea who this MP is, and his ‘storm in a teacup’ Tweets have been followed up with the obligatory apology – in case anyone took offence.

Will that suffice for Guido ?

…or will that suffice for his paymasters ?

Suppose time will tell – and let’s see if Guido now unearths other ‘dirt’ on this MP.

Not doing your website any favours at all: lost direction and is racing to the gutter.

How about some focus on the shocking photos of the civilian being shot twice/dead by a sniper the other day in Gaza. Very powerful images.

And yet it seems a huge coincidence that virtually all the UK [& US]mainstream media is busy looking the other way on that story.
    Including Guido…

Now how does that happen ?

No, Guido, NOT “A spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats says …” You mean, “A spokesman …” – the grammatically correct generic term. “Spokesperson” is politically correct twaddle.

          Nope, wrong again.
On average, the ZioNAZIs have killed one Palestinian child every three days for the last 13 years.

It’s the Israelis who hold Palestinians prisoner, often without charge.

And the Israelis are famous for destroying the homes of Palestinians often without notice and always without compensation, on a regular basis.

But I’m sure you’d be quite happy about that, if you were Palestinian.

For an unusually honest, balanced, objective assessment about Palestine/Israel, just read the attached HufffPost link, written by a Harvard Professor, and it is actually viewable in the US, [for now anyway] !

And, in my opinion, this is the threat to foreign policy that the UK is looking at via ‘Friends of Israel’ lobby groups at Westminster.

“while I defend the right of Israel to exist and defend itself”
one can’t help wondering what a nation with god exclusively on its side would need with assistance from America. Who, if Christian (as claimed), present a heretical ideology. Just one onf the many questions it’s best not to ponder. If preserving a human narrative is deemed more important than preserving humanity itself. Which because religion cannot exist sans humanity, is itself completely counter intuitive.

David Cameron drug policy reformer and leadership contender in 2005…

“Politicians attempt to appeal to the lowest common denominator by posturing with tough policies and calling for crackdown after crackdown. Drugs policy has been failing for decades.”

Is it just me, or is Nigel Farage just a top hat and a monocle away from being a Batman villain?
