‘Red Princes’ Gets Box Office Treatment

It has been two years since Guido applied the ‘Red Princes‘ neologism to Labour’s nepotistic sons, who are  seeking to inherit power from their political parents. Sorry Bercow, but someone has been reading…

“We’ve got son of Blair, son of Straw, son of Prescott, son of Dromey. When you take out the Red Princes, you’ll find that 80% of their candidates are union sponsored. They bought the candidates, they bought the policies, they bought the leader, we must never let them near the country.”

Is Joe Dromey going to get his mum to complain again?

Labour has informed us, as they do, that they will be launching an NHS summer offensive against the Tories. We shall be reporting it extensively, and it is the start of the final push to get Labour into office. Certainly we expect no repeat of the failure of the winter A&E crisis offensive – which we were all geared up to report – but unfortunately it failed to happen. We shall not be relying on the plebs to get ill in numbers this time.

    Engineer says:

I’m not usually very impressed by the BBC, but they seemed to do a balanced job with this. Interview with Danchuk did seem to show that evidence for ‘a network’ is very thin indeed. Dickens’ dossier apparently contained two letters with matters warranting investigation (passed to the police by the Home Office) and a lot of padding. Hard to see what else either the Home Office or Brittan could have done on that evidence.

Question – how does such a network form? You can’t really go around saying, “I say old chap, if you enjoy a spot of kiddy fiddling I know a few contacts.” Even in the late ’70s, you’d have made yourself arrestable and destestable doing that.

I listened to the interview with Danchuk on WATO. It became clear from what Dunchuk said, and what the interviewer asked, that the dossier consisted of a lot of paper, only two letters being of sufficient merit to warrant passing to the police. Ergo, the rest was, in the opinion of the Home Office officials reviewing it (not Brittan, who left the whole thing to his officials) the rest was of insufficient merit to warrant police attention.

By all means listen yourself on the iplayer (or whatever it’s called) and form your own judgement.

    Let me explain says:

Your dismissal of these matters on the basis that you find it unlikely that such networks could exist as you cannot fathom the mechanics of how they form is neither here nor there. The fact is we know from a number of court cases through the years that such networks do indeed exist and can form in a variety of ways. Now whether such a network exists in this particular case or not is what needs to be established but you cannot dismiss the claims simply on the belief that such networks are ‘imaginary’ or ‘fictitious’ . They are out there and always have been.

Boris on British Jihadis. Apparently based on MI5 intel:

“If you look at all the psychological profiling about bombers, they typically will look at porn. They are literally w***ers. Severe onanists. They are tortured. They will be very badly adjusted in their relations with women, and that is a symptom of their feeling of being failures and that the world is against them. They are not making it with girls, and so they turn to other forms of spiritual comfort — which of course is no comfort.”
