Where is the Outrage at David Ruffley?

Guido has tried to warn the Tories, and the world, about David Ruffley’s anger management problems before, reporting on his “obnoxious” behaviour towards staff leading to bright-eyed hopefuls leaving his office in floods of tears. Let’s not forget the lawsuits and the rumours of throwing bins at staff.

And so it came pass, when it emerged over the weekend that Ruffley has accepted a police caution for domestic violence, admitting to assaulting his then girlfriend in March of this year. What is the world coming to when one Tory MP faces a lynch mob and condemnation from the Prime Minister and thousands of others for an ill-advised hypothetical joke tweet, but another Tory MP, who accepts a caution for assaulting a woman, faces no action from his party?

It was the media (TV and press) that gave Plebgate such prominence, for example.

Ruffers must be one of the favoured ones, either that he has the low down on the hierarchy and threatens to blow the gaff know what I mean. A politico’s first job he gives himself is to get the low down on his compatriots, it might just be useful should anything untoward happen.

Fabricant wasn’t in trouble for the violence part, he was in trouble for causing offence to a left wing muslim woman. He’s lucky he wasn’t hung.

Yes. It’s an odd world when real violence to a woman is deemed less serious than making some questionable remarks about a journalist who has never been shy of dishing them out herself.

Had his girlfriend been Black or Asian he would have got the same treatment as Fabricant. Since white women are just whores in the eyes of the progressive left, it doesn’t matter.

    Mycroft says:

Fabricant had a thought, he made a joke about what he would have do in avoidance of a brain haemorrhage.

The person who was the butt of the joke was a chippy card flasher.

Card flashers can read peoples minds, they can do this because they have a set of prejudices hard wired into their own brains.

For card flashers, thoughts are worse than actions. Fabricant is evil, worse than any Woolwich butcher, he didn’t control his thoughts, he “dis’d” the gobby card flasher and we all should by now know being disrespected in this way is now a serious crime.

That is why Cameron is largely silent, Fabricant isn’t conforming, Ruffley is.

    This is the UK today.

Ruffleys local weekly the oh so politically correct “Bury Free Press”

are normally very quick to trumpet the Tory great and the good, and just as quick to report anything anti social, they even have a section on court appearances of local plebs names address and lists of local wrong doers for all the world to see.

The Bury Free cherry pickers will be silent on this one, story far too late for its one weekly publication I should not wonder.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, the local Association is finally stirring and holding an EGM when the future of their MP will be discussed. About time too. Apparently the grassroots members aren’t happy as the first they knew about this story was when they read it in the papers last weekend…even though it happened when they re-selected Ruffley. Tricky! An MP being economical with the truth: surely not??!!
