Anyone who thinks an MP “can help with sensitive issues” is an idiot. The only matters an MP can assist are in how to steal, lie and cheat.

    Hulk Brogan says:

The Lib Dems will cling on. Hancock loves his expense account.

But the more this happens, the more the blue tide will rise and drown them all.

Surely his job is a little less safe than that of Roy Hodgson ?

“I call on Mike Hancock to resign immediately”
Or failing that. For LBC to remove that protective barrier they’ve thrown up around Nick Clegg. So that someone can ask him point blank, why he prevented the recall of MPs legislation change.

FFS they still don’t get it.

    The apology is meaningless.

He only made it because he was advised the game was up and an apology was the cheapest option

Pompey South former Conservative Voter says:

Flick Drummond raises her head for the first time during the whole process of this scandal, she has not said one word before. At the last election Hancock doubled his majority against her. As long as she remains the Tory candudate for Portsmouth South, the Tories do not have a chance of winning the seat and will hand it to UKIP. They should get rid of her now if they wish to win Portsmouth South.

    The LibLabCon Party says:

    Newark, 2010:
    1st Conservative, 27,590 votes, 53.9%
    2nd Labour, 11,438 votes, 22.3%
    3rd Liberal Democrat, 10,246 votes, 20.0%
    4th UKIP, 1,954 votes, 3.8 %

    Newark 2014:
    1st Conservative, 17,431 votes, 45.0%
    2nd UKIP, 10,028 votes, 25.9%
    3rd Labour, 6,842 votes, 17.7%
    4th Independent, 1,891 votes, 4.9%

Obviously, a very poor result for UKIP. Their momentum has ended.

    WoRaft Chihuahua says:

FFS, why is the criminal law so weedy that it cannot get a grip on someone who abuses their position of power and trust in relation to a vulnerable person? If this was a care worker (and goodness knows we are soft enough on them) they’d be booted out of the profession and on the register of people not allowed to engage in that work again.

So long as we keep excusing politicians, judges, police and medics for these betrayals, we will be sending a big ‘Yeah, it’s ok’ message to the commoner sort of scumbag.

  51. 51
    Handycock says:

Following my public humiliation as a sex pest I have considered my position and it looks pretty

    retarded Pensioner says:

Unemployed youth is the group least likely to vote. This is designed to make him look tough with the blue collars who do vote and are looking toward UKIP. Miliband does not connect with either. He IS weird and the Tories could do worse than issue posters of him near choking on a bacon sandwich (that is a favourite delicacy with the Ordinaries), holding a hammer etc. Underneath could be “Would you buy a used car from this man?” , “A future Prime Minister-really?” and such like.

  57. 57
    Retarded Pensioner says:

The Lib Dims won’t do or say anything except to point out that it is nothing to do with them as Handycock is no longer a Lib Dem. He cannot be made to resign and will continue to collect his money to the end.

By the way, Vince Cable has never heard of him.

  65. 65

Well as I opined yesterday the police should bring charges .

This would trigger the resignation issue even before trial.

And BTW — how on earth is it possible /feasible /legal/practicable to draw two emoluments — one as an MP the other as a Councillor !!??

  66. 66

Yeah .. put up Suzanne Evans for ukip. Admittedly she probably does not know where Portsmouth is but then neither did “Helmet ” Newark !

(on reflection why don t the Tories just put up Penny Dreadnaunt . Is she not a Portsmouth MP ALREADY ? — merely boundary change and extend her domain …she ll be running the Tory Party next June anyway …good experience .

  67. 67

Vince Cable has never heard of himself !

  68. 68

Makes a change from placing your hands in places which matter …

  69. 69

Did you also buy a virtual square metre of Mauricio Pochettino before he left Portsmouth FC ??

    Political Observer says:

For years now, the Liberal Democrat Party has been a refuge for perverts (Oaten, Milligan, Hancock), paedophiles (Smith), homosexuals (Hughes, Vernon- Jackson), sex pests (Rennard, Hancock). The problem is, when it becomes wide and general political knowledge that sexual deviants are welcomed into a Party, it attracts even more of them, like moths attracted to a flame. This is where we are now with the Liberal Democrats. It (perverted behaviour) has now become so embedded in the party culture now, that the only way to purge it is to obliterate the party in to oblivion. This, I believe will happen in elections both local and national in the near future, the public are not the fools our politicians think.

Alan Milburn says Labour’s scaremongering campaign for an unreformed NHS will not win election…

“It would be a fatal mistake, in my view, for Labour to go into this election looking as though it is the party that would better resource the National Health Service but not necessarily put its foot to the floor when it comes to reforming. Look, reforms are not easy, but the Labour Party is not a conservative party. It should be about moving things forward not preserving them in aspic. You have got a pale imitation actually of the 1992 general election campaign, and maybe it will have the same outcome. I don’t know.”
