Sarah Wollaston has been on the Daily Politics telling viewers how about her lovely texts from Jeremy Hunt since becoming Health Select Committee chair last night. It might be all smiles now, but the Health Secretary isn’t likely to forget the time Wollaston described the government’s NHS reforms as “completely unrealistic” and “doomed to fail”. Or when she piled into ministers for cocking up redundancies in an article for the Telegraph. Or in the same piece when she directly criticised the Prime Minister and attempts to tackle NHS bureaucracy as “part of the problem”. Not to mention the time she said the government’s reforms were “a bit like someone had tossed a grenade” into Primary Care Trusts. This is going to be fun.
