Another Troublesome Peer Leaks Polling Data to Troll Leader

Lord Oakeshott jumped before he was pushed last week, after commissioning unsolicited bad news polling for the  LibDems, but has he set a precedent? Nick Clegg said he thought it ‘totally unacceptable’ that a ‘senior member of the party’ was ‘spending time and money to undermine the fortunes of the party’ and that ‘appropriate measures’ would be taken. Will Dave be so bold in standing up to Tory peer Lord Ashcroft? The billionaire former party donor has been commissioning unhelpful polls left right and centre that suggest a comfortable Labour majority in 2015.

Douglas Alexander MP, Labour’s General Election Strategy, commenting on Ashcroft’s last poll in marginal seats, said gratefully: “Lord Ashcroft’s poll confirms that we are making real progress in seats where we need to do well and that Labour can win next year’s General Election.”

There is an Ashcroft Newark poll out at 4pm…

What ‘appropriate measures’ will the PM be taking with his own troublesome peer?

Conservative lead cut to the margin of error tie between UKIP and the Tories, labour down slightly and UKIP up. To lose a sixteen thousand majority could be considered a major defeat even if the Tory candidate squeezes in, a great many Tory MPs with tiny majorities are going to be very worried.

The Tories picked the wrong candidate, a serial loser and out of touch multimillionaire insider who lied about his past. CCHQ must have their stooge couldnt lose with such a massive majority, their arrogance will be their undoing.

The biggest gamble and flaw of Tory thinking is that a GE win is all but certain. UKIP get their referendum only on a Tory/BNP/Green victory.

Labour win overall majority based on the economy and the Tory/UKIP/BNP/Green strategy.

            Lord Ashcroft is therefore correct.

Simplistic Tories surely know that the best possible tactic to proceed with now in 2014 is to demand Labour hold a referendum if they win in 2015?

Not too clever though for Cameron who wishes a Tory victory based solely on giving that referendum.

The Tory 2014 gamble gives Labour a victory on a plate but the deliberate sacrifice of the whole Conservative Party to the EU they have loyally supported for over half a Century is noted and with valour.

            Comical.

The sacrifice of the Conservative Party to the greater good of the EU altar is duly noted.

Even the most rabid of simplistic Socialist cannot escape a call for a Labour referendum on EU membership and any refusal will be seen as an act of cowardice allowing the anti movement to rule the roost forever more.

Junior sections of the Tory Party continue to harass an embattled PM on a notion of inbuilt National loyalty of British greatness which results in an overall Labour majority (as always).

Politics is not about what is right in Great Britain, it is about winning every 5 years no matter what.

The proof is a EU loving Tory Party (Thatcher/Major/Heath etc..) playing a anti EU card (mumble mumble Duncan-Smith etc..) hoping for a shock victory.

        Totally fucking stupid.

Gone are the days when the Tories did what is right for the Country and themselves.
It’s no coincidence that the self inflicted Brown envelope types that kicked the Tories out then are shouting up UKIP now.

So you are going to up-sticks and run away if your “new labour” tories fail to beat labour… Hmmmmmmm

I cannot afford to leave the country and have to stay here and deal with whatever comes next. That is why I am voting UKIP, because tory and labour BOTH want exactly the same agenda.

Strangely, labour are a bit more honest about it, but they both want this country run from Brussels. Labour will brazen it out without a referendum, whereas the tories are conning us all with their promise of a “reform” referendum, which is no more than a dishonest and crooked “bait and switch” con leading to full integration.

They “bait” the public with reform. Then after we have voted for that reform, the EU will pull the switch by vetoing that reform and leaving us on course for ever closer union. The worst part will be how often the raving swivel eyed europhiles will repeatedly tell us that we must have full integration because we voted for that in the “IN or OUT” referendum.

Only UKIP offer a genuine and honest referendum based upon the only two available options.
