    rimboooo says:

It’s worth seeing Dan Hodge’s twitter feed. He has gone into meltdown and is clutching at anything, he’s very particular agitated that everyone knows that Ukip only did “very well” in London versus”excellently” outside london.

Has a newspaper of the prestige of the telegraph ever before given such a prominent position to someone as biased, unhinged and downright silly as Dan Hodges before? A serious question. Polly Toynbee might be odious but even she will occasionally, grudgingly accept she was wrong about tiny things and try to keep up the pretense of being a journalist. With Hodges there is none of that. His whole professional life these days is dedicated to a doomed attempt to make people believe that Ukip’s desire for every man to have the democratic right to elect those who make our laws is “racist”. He screams it over and over again. And still normal people say “no it isn’t” and vote for Ukip.

I fear for his mental health, he already sounds like he is in a corner weeping, sending out angry texts “But they are racist, they want to control immigration!!!” and I fear for the future of the telegraph giving such a man a prominent position in the newspaper.

Labour’s media friends still won’t admit how significant it is that whilst in OPPOSITION, Labour are losing protest votes.
Governing parties don’t expect much joy mid-term, but the official opposition party, should never expect to lose votes mid-term like that. Labour losing out to UKIP, a right-wing party, would be comparable to the Conservative losing votes (whilst in opposition) to Real Labour or something.

    Socialism is theft says:

It is becoming increasingly clear that, but for people voting UKIP, Labour would have done much, much better in the polls. But for UKIP many disillusioned voters would have voted for Labour as a protest vote.

Therefore the idea that a vote for UKIP will let Miliband in is completely wrong. In fact a vote for UKIP is probably the only thing that will STOP Miliband getting in at the GE next year.

The “right” obviously believe that 30% plus of the UK electorate are imbeciles, loonies and xenophobes who should be ignored and ridiculed until they go away.
Unfortunately 30% plus of the UK electorate are ordinary people who are sick to the back teeth of a Westminster based cabal whose only vision is more of the same, on Europe, Crime, Immigration, Energy, Schools, Public Transport etc.

Do not worry. We WILL still be in the EU in 2015. And 2016, 2017, 2018 forever and ever. Get used to it. UKIP can talk but the country will not vote to leave the EU.
Ask why UKIP are so crap in Scotland?
reason is that the Scots have travelled all over the world under freedom of movement. They see freedom to move from country to country as a good thing.
Little Englanders are so lazy they do not even move from town to town to better themselves. But then attack everyone else for doing such a thing.
Question. If under UKIP you can only move around the EU if you find a job, what will you tell all the Brits who live in Spain and France who are not working? You have to come home.
Irrational arguments do not a party make. 450million live in Europe are not going to come here same as the fifty six million living in Britain are not going to move to France. UKIP can not fool most of us with silly arguments. Sad they can fool anyone.

Alan Milburn says Labour’s scaremongering campaign for an unreformed NHS will not win election…

“It would be a fatal mistake, in my view, for Labour to go into this election looking as though it is the party that would better resource the National Health Service but not necessarily put its foot to the floor when it comes to reforming. Look, reforms are not easy, but the Labour Party is not a conservative party. It should be about moving things forward not preserving them in aspic. You have got a pale imitation actually of the 1992 general election campaign, and maybe it will have the same outcome. I don’t know.”
