Following his on air intervention this morning UKIP spinner Patrick O’Flynn gets in touch to tell Guido he had “no concerns about the interview apart from it was a bit banal”. Asked why he intervened the former Express hack said “We had agreed 11.45, Nigel stretched that to 11.50. I had to tell them to wind it up six times because we needed to be somewhere else. Frankly, we had someone much more important for him to see.” He wouldn’t say who that was though, and is putting a brave face on it all. “The vast majority of LBC listeners are pro-Nigel, but that could have gone on and on all day.” Crikey, just imagine what Nigel might have said had it run on….
