UKIP’s Ethnic Minority Poster Girl Quits Party Citing Racism

UKIP’s ethnic minority poster girl Sanya-Jeet Thandi has sensationally quit the party, slamming them for “descending into a form of racist populism”. The 21 year old LSE student claims that: “This anti-immigrant campaign undermines Ukip’s claim not to be a racist party. They are turning the election into a game of “us” and “them”. Well, I am with “them””:

“Yes, Ukip is still a relatively young party. No, that is not an excuse to allow racists to stand for election. Nor is it an excuse to exploit the ignorance in British society and indulge the racist vote by telling them “they’ll take your jobs”. Sorry Ukip, you’ve lost another vote.”

A regular on the airwaves, Thandi had been the TV front woman of UKIP’s youth movement for the last three years and was described by Nigel Farage as the ‘future face of UKIP’. This could be explosive.

I notice she gives no examples of racism, no incidents which led to her decision to quit. Just say the word racism and it is so, apparently. The timing and immediate Guardian article don’t exactly scream ‘principle’ either.

UKIP does seem to attract a dispropotionate number of self-publicists, cranks and opportunists though. Apart from Farage the wider party appears to be completely mental.

I stopped following her because she seemed to have little political to say any more.

They see and express division between folk from different states – here that is continued as the surname gives away the family origins. The North / South divide in the old country is particularly marked.

One aspect which is not broadcast well in the UK is many in !ndia have great resentment towards white people. There were two sides to the old Raj, and most of those who were on its good side came here post independence.

Some who were not, did also.

Again, back in the old country it is perhaps wise to not assume that you will not be targeted in the way it is claimed white folk target them in the UK.

    Vote UKIP next week says:

Twenty one year old attention seeker resigns just before election? yawn. She’ll be in one of the other parties soon enough, mark my words. Fit right in – fast track and all that. Probably thought she’d get a nice safe Tory seat given to her.

And in other news, once respectable blogger turns establishment stooge.

What’s the betting she ends up in one of the main parties, in a safe seat?

I’m struggling to understand why someone joins a party, gets welcomed into the heart of it, then decides they don’t like the positions it’s always held and leaves in a public huff. But that’s now happened with ex-Tory Alexandra Swann and LSE student Sanya-Jeet Thandi.

So….Let me get this right. She has been prominent in ukip for over 3 years, and in that time Ukip has NOT changed it’s policy on immigration. So what changed?

Let me guess, you found some friends in the Tory party, who coincidentally think you could have a great future in their organisation?

hmm. well ukip may well turn out to be a one minute wonder for the next eu election and then fizzle out. She’s maybe made a good political decision if she’s looking to further her career in that direction – time to join the tories for 2015 !

…she’s not getting a particularly nice welcome over at CiF, especially given that she’s cited the ASI. I wonder if its made some of the Guardianistas realise that their uncritical open-door immigration views are in line with a free market think tank?

Look at the video in post number five in this thread. At 2.38, Ms Thandi is talking about immigration:

“We wanna, like, limit it, because ‘hello, we live on an island, it’s kinda small'”.

Odd that she supported limiting immigration last year, but suddenly, three weeks before the Euro elections, finds the idea “racist”. She’s either been got at, or has decided that this is her big chance to gain some attention and make a name for herself.

Mind you, as a student at the LSE, Britain’s most extreme left-wing university, I expect that she’s had a miserable time from the campus commies. Who knows.

Wait! Is this the vacuous bimbo who was on Channel 4 News just the other night with that Eritrean psychopath who hates Britain?

Christ, she comes off as only slightly less thick than he does.

Alan Rusbridger with his fingers in his ears says:

    Thandi says in the Guardian

“My reasons for supporting Ukip stemmed from liberal ideas such as lower taxes, a smaller state, freedom of the individual, local referenda, and an immigration policy that offered fair and equal opportunities for everyone.”

Lower taxes, smaller state, freedom of the individual. Tell it to someone else ‘cos the Graun ain’t listening.
