Quote of the Day

Marina Hyde on the pious left and UKIP…

“…all right-thinking people to the left of UKIP – from Tories to commies – are supposed to regard it as a triumph each time a news outlet’s exposé forces Nigel Farage to outlaw some nobody for a vile thing they said on social media three years ago. This, apparently, is a win, even though the evidence suggests it simply calcifies the sense of asymmetric warfare against UKIP out there in the unreachable spaces where all those rising numbers of people who are going to vote for the party are living their unknowable lives.”

” all RIGHT thinking people to the LEFT of Ukip … from the Torues to the commies ” ???

In one broad brush stroke she has elevated the rest of the political firmament to the position of social acceptance versus Ukip as rabid pariahs .

Carry on girlie , more publicity like that and Ukip get another 5000 votes a day .

It means: most people don’t care that some nobody in UKIP has vile view’s and by keep attacking UKIP a lot of people start thinking, I like an underdog/outside so im going to vote for them.

It’s only the political establishment that care and think they are actually harming UKIP. Nigel must wakeup every morning and think please let there be another story. Every time a few hundred more votes in the bag

Her quote simply shows how the so-called educated of the last Labour era can constantly produce gobble gook rhetoric that has little real meaning; but is sufficiently complex enough that supposed “literati” consider it quotable, mainly due to their not understanding it.

To have to descend to “Smearing someone / anyone” rather opens up the issue of what the smearer themselves cannot face up to themselves.

Address the content and context of the subject matter. To do otherwise and descend to the level of smearing; means that the smearer has no true answers and has lost the argument on the content and context of the original subject matter.

Talking about smearing you should TRY to listen to the radio 4 Question Time this week to hear the shouting minority impose their will on the rest.
Turned off half way through the 2nd question on food banks when the screaming from the loony left and audience became juvenile and ridiculous with Dimbleby again showing how biased he is.

bbc qt has as little credibility as their other propaganda vehicles: the now show; the news quiz; have i got news for you; bbc news etc..
Their audiences are self-selected far-lefties, and they are preaching to the choir.

The bbc does not represent the public mind; the bbc does not report on the public mind; it serves only one common purpose, which is to try and steer the public mind.

No serious politician should associate themselves with the bbc or use it as a platform.

The bbc is the enemy of the British people.

        Steven Pinker says:

Exactly… There is no real definition of the term “race”, so the term “racist” doesn’t really mean anything. The only thing it can mean is someone who believes in race. A bit like “creation” and “creationist”.

Whether in law or in a dictionary all you find is imprecise and circular references.

The thing this 19th century word is intended to cover is the idea of ethnicity or ethnotype, which equates to a collection of phenotypes culture; and thus “ethnocentrism”.

…but of course, the word “racist” works far better as a synonym for “evil” for the fist-wringing buckle-hatted mob than the more precise term ethnocentrist, which correctly implies that everyone is innately inclined towards those more similar to them in appearance and behaviour.

“LABOUR AND THE LIB DEMS WONT.
    UKIP CAN’T.
    WE WILL IN 2017.”

The Cameron led Tory party are lying – because they imply that they will give a referendum in 2017 – and choose to leave out the caveats that Cameron has attached to such a vote …

e.g. Cameron wants to re-negotiate. He cannot do that. Angela M has said so.

Cameron is playing for time. Of course the fall back ‘excuse’ to giving a referendum is always its not quite the right time now ['now' being any convenient time that the pressure mounts - for action not weasel words].
