Did you get your early guilty plea in and if not that is an aggravating factor which must be taken into account? – Its what them judges preach.

      Jo Clifford says:

No, but he needs a cock extension!

      The Black Knight says:

The manner in which the EU election campaign has been conducted has made it clear that the elite who rule this country hold both democracy and the British people in total contempt.

Some great comments here. Stating clearly that the ruling elite deem themselves untouchable. That ties in with the Cyril Smith mess and the extensive abuses of UK by those meant to protect our interests.

        1) EU proposed closures of beaches will hit local jobs. Why? Close beaches. Privatize them? Sell tickets daily. As Coastguard has been sold off. And Mountain Rescue then insurance will be the new cost. Now sell that beach to a mate’s company and use the beach ticket sales to invest in shale or offshore wind farms. Who benefits? Not UK? The turbines ain’t made here. So who stands to gain? Know anybody with any family in Energy business?

        2) Back door sell off of NHS will also put up your insurance costs.

        3) Now the Smith mess was known about in 1970’s. So why when they were in power from 1979-forward did the Tories do nothing? Labour came into power 1997. Not enough time? But voters are meant to trust them on EU? What of the abused children? How many? 1 is too many. Who was complicit? UK voters will see this for what it is…

        4) Labelling UKIP as “racist” cos of a few would mean that if same rule is applied to the Smith mess all those who covered it up are complicit and the same????

        5) Putting expenses sham aside, putting banks mess aside, putting EU mess aside, putting pensions mess aside, focusing merely on the Smith mess…how do voters now view those in Houses of Parliament and Lords?

Now look at the droves heading for UKIP. Can’t yet see a pattern linked to mass Media attacks on UKIP insulting general intelligence of tax payers and voters who have simply had enough? 31% not enough of a clue that things are seriously out of step?

    bs says:

Is it right that, in principle at least, he can stay as MP and continue to receive his salary despite being “banned”….

I’d like to say that can’t be true, but…………….

      non taxable pikey says:

Has he been “named” by the speaker? If so his salary is suspended.

Of course, he should have his collar felt and be banged up for a year or two. This is wishful thinking on my part unfortunately.

    Kiss my nipsy says:

Oh dear another one bites the dust

  13. 28
    Fido Gawkes says:

David Steel’s claim that no investigation was needed because Smith was only disciplining the boys, obviously stinks.

Even in corporal punishment was the norm, what was a local MP doing in the boys home dishing it out ?

As so often, the Eye had it down long before the world caught up

      David Steel says:

Return to your constituencies and prepare to know nothing

      non taxable pikey says:

The horrendous activities at Knowl View need of course to be fully investigated, but the current investigation by Warnock does not go back far enough to do this.
However, these crimes should not be allowed to overshadow those carried out at the Elm Guest House. To this end within a reasonable time-frame there should be full public disclosure of the police evidence from Operation Fernbridge. I fear that the Rochdale investigation will be used by the “great and the good” as a cover up for Fernbridge.
