Will Lewis Partying Like Its 2009
Organising “Telegraph MPs’ Expenses Re-Union Party”

In what will surely add to the feeling that it is 2009 all over again, Guido hears that Will Lewis, formerly editor of the Daily Telegraph during its MPs’ expenses exposing high point, is organising an “MPs Expenses Re-Union Party” in May to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the award winning scandal. Which seems as fresh today as ever…

Awkwardly Will is now Chief Creative Officer of rivals the News Corporation. Guido looks forward to his invitation…

In our world you get sacked and your future ruined for stealing under £2.00, in their world they steal thousands, often tens of thousands and they get to say sorry and there is no question of them losing their jobs or going to prison.

Two different outcomes for two very different classes of people, this is the reality.

  11. 11
    The Magical Brown Tvrd. says:

” Awkwardly Will is now Chief Creative

    Eton Trough says:

The spirit of the Conservative Party has moved to UKIP. Nigel is really the heir to Margret Thatcher not Dave. There is no desire in the current Conservative Party to tackle the real issues that the country faces. Dave really is appalling in that he like Millbean speaks the language of commitment without the slightest intention of keeping his word. May elections are the best chance in while to really piss on the elites self satisfied face. Don’t miss the chance!

    Hand Job Miller says:

    Maria’s expense claim hysteria
    Reminded me of Dave’s Wisteria
And Duck houses on ponds that float
We even paid to clean a moat
Yet we must never make a fuss
One rule for them and one for us

The time has come to make a stand
MPs greed is out of hand
The people need to get a grip
Turf this lot out and vote UKIP
    With the election drawing near
Farage the man all MPs fear

So look out now for dirty tricks
With smears and lies thrown in the mix
With racist slurs and nazi claims
    Designed to undermine our aims
The peoples Army is on track
UKIP will get our country back

  24. 24
Dodgy Dave of Downing St. says:

I give you my word that –

    1. there is no need to open old wounds

    2. it would be hurtful after all these to rake over things that are better forgotten

    3. when I was elected ** PM I promised a new era ( – or is that error?)

    4. Let’s all go back to work, forget the whole thing, and let me sort it out

** actually I wasn’t elected, more sort of fell into the job as I couldn’t get a majority

  25. 25
    Ex Tory voter says:

    Dave has no convictions

He does not know what honesty is

He is a product of a totally selfish, greedy, immoral and false world

Where PR and spinning have replaced reality and decency

    Kick the idiot out

  26. 26
Harriet Harman, you ain't seen me, right? says:

    Useless Ed Miliband says:

That’s it, keep trolling for Labour. Don’t forget to send in your invoice by the end of the month because the ccounting system I put together on the office ZX81 is a bit slow.

  31. 31
    Bang the Slapper up says:

Maria Miller has indicated she expects to pay thousands of pounds in capital gains tax after making a £1.2 million profit on a home that was part-funded by the taxpayer.

  32. 32
    Anonymous says:

I believe that Blair’s expenses were shredded just before The Telegragh shone light on the terrible scandal. Another thing, I remember in the not so distant past that Mandelson had to borrow a large some of money in order to get a mortgage. Now he is a multi-millionaire. How is this possible? I don’t remember him taking a job. Where did these millions come from? Guido-please find out.

  33. 33
    Corrupt Dave says:

Lord Tebbit is not going to be happy.
It looks like he’ll have to head off to Gobbler’s Knob for Groundhog Day tomorrow.

  34. 34
Revd. Phoney (£rd Fucking Way) B£iar, Sanctimonious Git and £iar, wiv stupid grin says:

Just popped by to say I’m very very rich! A ‘High Net Worth’ individual you might say.

And I got it all because of NooLieBore.

    Results speak for themselves.

And as my expenses were never scrutenised I shredded them all.

Now rest easy you poor, poor people!

Must dash! I’ve got more High Net Worth Wealth people to see.

  35. 35
    Leon Brittan says:

  36. 36
    IDS says:

I’m still fucking over the sick and disabled, but it’s more for personal gratification than money.

  37. 37
Palace Of Westminster Benefits Office says:

Miller Miller Miller Out Out Out!

  38. 38
    A plecostomus says:

It seems Dave’s inflatable spine has developed a puncture!

  39. 39
    Windy Miller says:

    sCameron said:

“What matters is doing the right thing. I think Maria has done the right thing by repaying the money, making an apology and now getting on with her job”.

Not repaying THE money, repaying SOME money, about 10% of half of what was recommended, so about 5% of the total.

She couldn’t even do that graciously.

Oh I can just see that working for anyone else.

“I’m sorry I claimed 2 weeks JSA benefit I now realise it was a mistake, here’s a fiver, bye”

How is it that wealthy people make “mistakes” and the less wealthy commit crimes?

You have to watch the language they use, repaying the money my arse

  40. 40
    Nostrildamus says:

Parliament has a sulphurous, rotten eggy sort of smell about it.

  41. 41
    Trumpton Parliament says:

FALSE CLAIMS. The unemployed, sick and disabled steal….MPs make mistakes. So there we have it.

  42. 42
    Mark Wouters says:

    Sovietsalami63 Here,
The European union and British Judiciary are in clear agreement that Tony Blair did not opt out of the European social chapter ,and as a consequence the British government is under a legal obligation to pay benefits claimants £168.00/week as of 2002 ,so stop your trying to get out of your obligations and pay us all our back benefits payments, the British government are in violation of the europen social charter.this was discussed on BBC radio 4 ,at 22.30 on April 4th 2014.

  43. 43
    thostids says:

Do you get the idea that “Call me a C*nt” Dave is not the master of his own destiny? Even a rich boy whose daddy paid for the best PPE Degree money could buy doesn’t need the I.Q. of pond life to know that Mrs Miller will have about the same effect on the Electorate as an outbreak of Ebola virus (which we will probably be getting next week as well!). But he has been told to tough it out and give the finger to the voters. Now, if the Establishment has decided that “Call me a C*nt” has served his purpose, this is the sort of advice they would give him. Like telling the head-case in the class to stop a bus with their head, and they go and do it!
Makes you wonder what future the Establishment has mapped out for her when she comes out. Can’t see her emulating Profumo, and all he did was mislead Parliament not put his hand in the till. I think she should work in a leper colony – so, it’s decided….she keeps the job!

  44. 44
  45. 45
    Vlad the Loudhailer says:

I see the Scottish Herald’s article states that Miller’s London home was only her second home from 2005 till 2009 and then it was flipped back to her primary residence. Her SPAD says that Miller will pay all Capital Gains due on it. You’ve guessed it there aren’t and due because of the flip.

If every there was a case of FRAUD by abuse of position this is it!

  46. 46
  47. 47
Former Tory voter for 40+ years says:

Under Duplicitous Dave the Dunce of Downing Street the Tories remain the nasty party, only there for their own benefit and completely out of touch with normal people. We have a golden opportunity next month to kick him in the balls for his broken promises, and an even greater chance to kick him and his ilk completely out of office in 2015.

  48. 48
    Blowing Whistles says:

i am still working on it.

  49. 49
Farage is a Frenchie, married to a Hun says:

UKIP are the biggest expense claiming sleazeballs out. Their MPs claim everything they can and the rest and don’t even turn up to vote.

  50. 50
Farage is a Frenchie, married to a Hun says:

Whereas UKIP MEPs have convictions for allsorts!

  51. 51
    Fragrant Betsie says:

Well dearies, my hubbie got away with clean hands. Army training in flagrant fibbing y’see. Everybody believed him when I said I worked hard for my money even though the other paid staff said they never saw me.

  52. 52
    Gae Gordon says:

Wee Davy Laws paid all his back and more, didn’t he? What makes this Miller woman think she can get away with it?

  53. 53
    Blowing Whistles says:

Politicians policing themselves … well ain’t that somethin. Of course Parlaiment has become rather infested with flegal shysters running around and telling everyone (MP’s) it’s ok you’re covered ‘cos our closed show union of shysters have it all ‘sorted’ know wot I mean guv nudge, nudge, wink, wink …. and don’t forget the brown envelope!

  54. 54
  55. 55
    IPSA facta says:

    who’s paying?

  56. 56
Lke you said the bankers ARE scum says:

The political class now don’t give a toss about what the public might think. They’ve been rumbled and they know it so they’ll continue to rip us off until either they retire or get booted out by the electors. In my opinion we should vote for anyone but the LibLabCon thieves if only to show that we can punish them. Like the voters did to Jackie Smith. The look on her face when she lost was worth paying money for. I couldn’t stop laughing at the ugly cow

  57. 57
    Bachelor boy says:

And that’s the way it’ll stay

  58. 58

  64. 64
    James says:

FFS where do we go from here….

Even me why, (A staunch tory of 30+ voting) has given up the ghost. She now sees the whole of the voting spectrum as a total anatema, even ukips victory of the clegg (limpdicks) fails by the wayside, when people like my missus wont turn out, as is “all the same piece of shite”

    G_d help England

  65. 65
    James says:

    As WHY see “WIFE”

  66. 66
    Juggulator says:

How many of these Mp’s are renting houses off each other and charging the tax payer for the previledge

  67. 67
    Tim Yeo-yo says:

Get a fucking job Huntflaps or fuck off back to where you came from.

  68. 68
    Ippikin says:

As a traditional supporter of Tory values I am in complete despair.
Cameron has absolutely no idea of the damage he is causing by his monumentally stupid defence of Miller.
Time and time again he has displayed a complete detachment from the realities of life and the moral responsibilities of his colleagues.
He simply does not understand public opinion in any senses of the words and clearly thinks he is above it.
He is so extraordinarily weak that he is now way beyond a joke and if he loses the election, it will entirely his fault – his and nobody else’s.
    God help us all!

  69. 69

The whole point is they had the audacity to make the claim in the expectation that it would be nodded through, alongside ‘Daves’ wisteria pruning.

  70. 70
    Dave's Little Helper says:

Let me slip this big one up you sweetie and if you’re good I’ll marry you. you can trust me I’m Dave everyone knows my word is good for it!

  71. 71
    c777 says:

Strange is it not, there a hundreds of reasons to reject LibLabCon, however this is one even the dummies who normally vote for them will get.

  72. 72

    It’s time to move on….

  73. 73

The more things don’t change, the longer they stay the same?
Still, it all helps to build up the pressure. Some even say that revolutions are like buses. The world waits for ages, then a load come along all at once.

Boris on British Jihadis. Apparently based on MI5 intel:

“If you look at all the psychological profiling about bombers, they typically will look at porn. They are literally w***ers. Severe onanists. They are tortured. They will be very badly adjusted in their relations with women, and that is a symptom of their feeling of being failures and that the world is against them. They are not making it with girls, and so they turn to other forms of spiritual comfort — which of course is no comfort.”
