Guido’s preferred Labour candidate for Mayor of London has got into a bit of bother today known as “trying to bullsh*t a journalist”. After Sadiq Khan laid it on thick at a meeting of trade unionists, telling them he supported direct action, the Standard confronted him:

“Mr Khan’s spokesman denied he had mentioned “direct action” at the meeting, organised by Unions Together, the Trade Union Group and CLASS. After being sent a transcript by the Standard, the spokesman said neither he nor Mr Khan recalled using those words.”

Fortunately Guido is able to offer an aide-mémoire to Mr Khan and his forgetful spinner. There was a tape:
