Envy of the World Update

The Telegraph reports:

“The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found. Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.”

NHS Medical Director Bruce Keogh has written to all NHS trusts to tell them the practice must stop, because clearly they couldn’t work that out for themselves. Doesn’t it make you proud…

This is very crass comment “miscarried babies” are not unwanted and the mothers did not kill them!

Although I’m very anti abortion under most circumstances, I would also say that statement is also not true in the cases of many abortions – but other pressures are brought to bear that force the mother to abort.

The NHS quote that 1 in 6 pregnancies end in a miscarry (studies in the US indicate that this many be closer to 1 – 3).

It’s not crass at all. Of course there are miscarriages and abortions for medical reasons but the vast majority are just unwanted babies.

the stats if you were really interested are easy to find, in ONS, abortions app 190,000 live births app 729,000 it is estimated 15 -20 % miscarry but most of them are long before hospital so some of app 140,000 miscarry somewhere near term and in hospital, so indeed the majority are abortions. Not that that excuses their insensitive behaviour nothing wrong with burning them but tossing them in the hospital boilers is a bit gross. By the way certainly where I am, this was exposed some years ago and now all term miscarriages are buried/ cremated as the parents wish

Incinerating the murdered child amongst other clinical waste, limbs, organs, veins etc, is cremation.

Unless you want the ashes to be given back to the mother then mixing the waste up is not a problem. Then again, perhaps giving of ashes would cut down on the number of baby killings in this country.

It’s a reasonable arbitary moment, but still arbitary.
Only about a third of fertilised eggs survive to birth.
You could roll it back and say that a condom is human intercedance of a potential life and therefore murder.
Or you could say that the woman who tells you (or Handycock) to get stuffed when you offer to buy her a drink is denying the right of a potential unborn life, and therefore a murderer.

Everything we do is Human intercedence. Stay at home tomight? Fail to meet your potential wife? MURDER!

The law is roughly that a life begins when it can live independent on the mother.
