of course somebody like me who has only recently started thinking about the politics of the UK has very little knowledge of the actual machinery. But I think you can say that non of this stuff just appeared out of thin air. The politicians mostly are people who have been raised in particular families and that upbringing has given them a slant on thinking as opposed to people who have worked things out for themselves.
When I used to hang about the young socialists as a teenager I was aware that these new thoughts of social manipulation were like an abstract view of society and what goes on with the end results when people want to make factories to make things.
but now I think it is just about families really and what shape things are ( determined by manufacturing) is incidental.

      Lib Dem Watch says:

Let’s judge Clegg & the rest of the LibDems on their performance & record in government to date:

Here is a list of what the lying Clegg and his ilk have enabled the Tories to do:

NHS – Health and Social Care Act 2012
Thanks to Liberal Democrat votes they must share responsibility for wasting £3billion on a top-down NHS reorganisation while more people wait longer in A&Es and over 5,000 nurses are cut.

Tuition Fees: Trebling Tuition Fees to £9000 (despite promising to abolish them.

      Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Lib Dems helped Tories abolish it

      Abolished ESA

      Snoopers charter

      Bedroom Tax
(Spare Room Subsidy) Voted with the Tories to charge poor people between £14 and £24.00 PER WEEK inflicting distress and suffering on millions, now over 50,000 people are in rent arrears and face eviction and the figures will continue to increase.

      Privatisation of Probation Service

      VAT BOMBSHELL
In opposition Clegg & Lib dems spoke of “TORY VAT BOMBSHELL” then voted with Tories to increase VAT to 20%

      Part Privatisation of prison service

      Bombing Syria
Voted/supported With Tories to bomb Syria

      Sure Start Centers
Supported Tories to close over 558 Sure Start Centres (so far) despite promising not to,

      Cut Income Tax for Millionaires
Backed a Tory cut in the top rate of tax, giving 13,000 millionaires a tax cut worth an average £100,000 while millions are paying more.

      Falling Living Standards
Clegg says he’s making life “fairer and easier” with tax cuts, however, wages are down £1,500 since the election and a million young people out of work.

      Mansion Tax
Nick Clegg said “The Mansion Tax is right, it makes sense and the Liberal Democrats will continue to make the case for it. they said they would “stick to their guns” however when given the chance to stand up for their own principles and vote for a mansion tax, Liberal Democrat MPs voted against it.

      Constitutional Reform
Nick Clegg said his constitutional reform programme would be “the biggest shake-up of our democracy since the Great Reform Act of 1832″. It wasn’t. He abandoned Lords reform after Conservative MPs refused to back it, and he failed to deliver reform of the voting system.

      Police
In the Liberal Democrat manifesto, Nick Clegg promised to put 3,000 more police on the beat. But in Government they backed Tory plans to cut more than 15,000 police officers.

      Special Advisers
In opposition, the Liberal Democrats said that special advisers “are political jobs, and should, therefore, be funded by political parties”. They changed their tune when they got into Government. Nick Clegg alone has sixteen Special Advisers – paid for at the taxpayers’ expense.

      Foodbanks
      Soaring use of foodbanks

      Utilities
Soaring cost of gas, electricity and water.

      Child Poverty
There are now 2.6million kids in the UK being brought up in hardship, with more than half of them in working households. The number of children living in poverty has leapt by 300,000 under the Coalition Government.

      Environment
Meant to be “greenest” government ever, but helping Tories introduce Fracking

      Lobbying Bill
Not one single Liberal Democrat MP opposed the party of the government’s draconian Lobbying Bill that muzzles charities and campaigners.

      Secret Courtd
In an Act of Parliament Liberal Democrat MPs voted in favour of Secret Courts and helped put on the statute books just five months ago! Now they have the cheek to say they will repeal it? Then why vote it through? Is this what Clegg calls blocking the excesses of the Tories? Voting something through then saying they will repeal it?

      Legal Aid
      Liberal Democrats voted with the Tories to stop ordinary people gaining access to legal aid;

      Judicial Review
      The curtailing of judicial review.

      Workers Rights
Removing workers rights to a tribunal and charging them at least £1000 to bring a case

Tories had to go on the assurances that were given by Blair in the Houses of Parliament.

Perhaps the Tories would have cow-towed to Bush. We don’t know.
Labour were in power and they had to make the decision, but remember Blair lied and he got *nothing* in return from Bush — not even a slice of the money-making pie for British firms. Nor the Eco-stuff that was big at the time (whether you think that was worthwhile or not).
We can equally assume a toryu PM would have seen through bush’s lack of intelligence and not been lured by the plaudits and money-making chances.

It was Labour — and they fucked up for Britain, and fucked up for the world.

Compare also Blair’s (seven?) wars with Thatcher’s (one/two?)

Cameron seems fixated on trying to stop the unemployed or other victims of his money laundering fraudster City funders from eating and sleeping. The Britain he wants to see is a sadistic place where, as US writer Gore Vidal mockingly commented: “It is not enough to succeed, others must fail.” Only the selfish, the ignorant and the rich count as human in Cameron’s financial determinism.

If there is a political backlash, he doesn’t care, he knows he’ll walk straight into a multimillion job in the EU’s corporate world when his political bolt is shot. So as far as ‘Call me Dave’ and his Eton Bullingdon Club chums are concerned, the poor can just go to hell.”

The experience gained by doing stuff paid for by the job makes them more confident that they deserve. Perks lavished upon them increases their confidence and this and that meanwhile the very serious task that they were given becomes less important than looking like you are doing the job what with all the perks and wotnot.

They do not think in terms of national identity but in ethnic terms.

For example, the owner of Chelsea Football Club is not a Russian no matter where was born, nor what passport he holds. He is a Jew.

Ethnic Russians who were we born and bred in Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Tajikistan woteva see themselves as Russian and will call themselves so. So ethnic Russians living in Ukraine have never thought themselves Ukrainian and look to Putin a the leader of their mother country who has come to bring them home. Or bring home to them. The only reason they are “Ukrainian” is that they were outnumbered in the referendum.

      http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2014/03/07/help_is_not_on_the_way

As that was a result of EU directives and the green morons, it is perhaps clear now where some of UK’s fifth column problems lay.

Part of the problem is that R-Fed holds indirect control over UK pension funds:

There are many parallels here to history gone by.

Before WW2 Germany made efforts to avert war many times. Read/watch Pat Buchanan’s article/book/interview on this. Just remember, Germany had territory inside Poland, the Polish-Danzig corridor was really German but he didn’t even demand that back – think of Berlin after the war and how the Western allies had a corridor to West Berlin. It’s why there had to be an airlift. Second, remember that the USSR ‘invaded’ Poland at the same time as Germany. Britain and France did not declare war on the USSR in 1939. Why not?

The confusion is that people don’t understand what right-wing comprises… Hitler was in fact left wing.

There is an awful lot which you fail to see. I suggest you reflect upon that at times. We all have to. It highlights our lack of omniscience.

The Soviets and Germans were allies ideologically in the 1930s and early 40s. They were both resisting Bolshevism as anarchism. That is what the purges in the 1930s in the USSR were all about. I have provided links such as this before to put you on the right trail.

            http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/ns053.asp

Just look at what actually happened geo-politically, not to what, propaganda circulated by ‘the allies’ after the war, said happened. The USSR won WWII. The USSR was National Socialist just as the PRC (and her allies) is today.

Sometimes strategists sacrifice assets for longer term gains. One has to ask, ‘what did National Socialism, properly understood as statism, actually lose in WWII?’ It was a war against ‘J’ewish’ Bolshevism/anarchism. The homeland of J’ews in Europe was Poland and Western USSR, we know from the historical record that they were the ones who ran Bolshevist USSR and the Comintern, but that was quite different in referent to the ‘Russian’ ‘Old Labour’ Soviet Union, as shown by the purges in the 1930s and policy in Spain in the 1930s. This should be born in mind when thinking about the Danzig problem in 1939 I suggest. The war between Britain/France and Germany in Europe was incited by vested interests. Whose? Britain lost its empire and was effectively bankrupted by it. The nation which economically benefited was anarchistic USA which was shortly in a Cold War with the statist USSR and shortly after, the PRC.

            Plus ca change.

Raising a ‘Munich Analogy’ of itself should not affect the judgement of other states, but certainly provides the tools required by some to shift domestic political support in a direction where it otherwise would not be possible to go.

The questioning of US credibility is a disingenuous and dangerous rhetoric. Neither the US nor R-Fed consider this in their current planning / actions. This will not directly affect FP today, but will be very effective in causing public opinion to change in a negative way – if avoidance of conflict is desired.

You mean this one,and there’s more where he came from.

A former circuit judge who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges has been spared a jail sentence.
David Selwood, from Winchester in Hampshire, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of making and possessing indecent images of children.

The 70-year-old was charged after police found 75 images of naked and semi-naked boys aged between eight and 14 on his laptop computer.

A spokesman for the Department of Constitutional Affairs said that Judge Selwood would be entitled to a full pension. The spokesman said that he was due to retire when he reached the age of 70 but was retiring early because of ill health. “The judge is innocent until proved guilty and therefore, like any other person, is entitled to his full pension upon retirement”, the spokesman said.

Presumably, his retirement will not effect police investigations in any way, but the question should be asked, would he have decided to retire due to such ill health had he not been arrested and placed under investigation?

Why does she etc… A good question.

There was a similar parallel some years ago when an African dance troupe from South Africa came to perform in London. Anyone who has been to SA will know that it is traditional for unwed maidens to dance topless – and they planned to carry on their traditions on stage in the West End.

The local straight-laced and outraged censor at the time issued an order forbidding this nudity on stage. The Africans said “It is our custom”, but the censor refused to bend.

The riposte to him was along the lines of OK fine, but the next time some dance troupe from the UK come to our country, they will be required to follow OUR customs too.

It was too long ago now for me to remember how this all ended.

      Null hypothesis says:

Facebook is built upon the principle of friendship. That is its appeal to those who visit it. It panders to the ego of its members and their emotional need to be approved of by their audience.

Guido Fawkes is built upon the principle that politicians, in the modern era, tend towards self-gratification and self-reward, to which the site is quite correctly and critically opposed. This means that this blog ought to be regarded with fear and anxiety by most politicians, especially when they are in their business for the wrong reasons.

There thus appears to be a diametrical conflict between the aspirations of this site and the objectives of Facebook.

To our host my main recommendation would be: Please keep this site nasty!

To this end, such a trouble-making blog needs to be regarded with fear and anxiety – by centre and left-wing politicians. On the road to a one-party state, this site needs to be vile and nasty – to anyone that does not agree with it.

Self-determination, as used by Washington, is a propaganda term that serves Washington’s empire but is not permissible for real people to exercise. On March 6 Obama telephoned Putin to tell the Russian President again that only Washington has the right to interfere in Ukraine and to insist against all logic that only the “government” in Kiev installed by the Washington-organized coup is “legitimate” and “democratic.”

But there is national socialism and international socialism.

Here is some simple, but important history for you.

      http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Social_Democratic_Labour_Party

Take on board that up to the early 1980s the British Labour Party was very like the Leninist Russian Labour Party. It was opposed to the equivalent of the old Russian non Leninist Labour Party (Militant Tendency were Trotskyites). Think of the New Labour Party as being this non-Leninist Labour Party and bear in mind what Thatcher’s Libertarian Government did to the unions in the 1980s and how this was continued under New Labour.

You will then start to understand why (New Left) Ed Miliband and his 34 year old Shadow Secretary to the Treasury did not support the Public Sector strike a year or so ago.

These are New Left (Social Democrats) – not Old Labour. The Liberal-Democrats started out as the Social Democratic party, which was a splinter group from Old Labour plus a small Liberal Party. These were pro USA. Old Labour types (socialism in one country) are not popular with the USA and you can see this as the USA has been to war against these types (Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea, and today it is threatening Syria and Iran by proxy). Do you think it would allow Old Labour in Britain or Europe? This is what the Marshall Plan and EU Project, and plans for a 27 state EU Constitution superstate was designed to keep at bay – think the opposition, the CIS/SCO. This is what the current EU crisis is all about. It is about furthering Libertarianism (anarchism) and rolling back the state.

          Addendum

What a lot of people don’t understand is that this (Daniel Hannan) is Social Democrats at work, the Left-Communists which Lenin attacked as anti-statist Libertarians in the early part of the c20th and which in more recent times has been known as the New Left. It is NOT left wing! It is anti-Government. Take note that the Human Rights legislation applies only to what goes on in the Public Sector. It is designed to cripple the state, erode the PUBLIC Sector managed by the elected Government.

It is very hard for most people to grasp how this works, as they think that Governments do the opposite. Just think about the facts, and you’ll soon see why Germany rose up against all this subversion in favour of free-market anarchism in the 1930s. Those they rose up against then fled to the West, i.e Britain and the USA which they incited to wage war against their oppressors. That is why you see this (right-wing Libertarian) politically correct behaviour mostly in these countries today. It is poisonous to the REGULATIVE state by design. It’s why Hitler and Stalin are the arch bogeymen.

Not Elvis, it was Jerry Lee – you know, the one who married his 13 year old cousin. Wonder what HH and co had to say about that then?

Come, come now, you should know we English are not supposed to give a damn about what is happening in our own country and under our own noses. No, no, no. We must be totally focused on Ukraine, Russia, Syria, Iran – anywhere but our own country.

        It’s what our betters want.

Are you saying that we should return to being backward-looking, narrow, Little Englanders, with no idea of what is happening in the wider world? Well that is OK – if you that don’t mind being kept in the dark and fed on BS. Clearly, the powers-that-be would certainly want love that.

To give insight into Cr!mea referendum, an advert on bill board that has gone up:

    Translation of tweet:

@varlamov All means are fair in war. RT @GraniTweet Nothing like this billboard for the referendum in Sevastopol.

If interested, the text for the referendum can be found here:

    h**p://www.rada.crimea.ua/textdoc/ru/6/act/1702pr.pdf

There are reports of arson attacks against Tatars in Cr!mea, and also Pro-R folk are apparently marking Tatar homes with X’s.

    Starting to get nasty.

P’tin will make his move on U proper once he has the U forces stationed in Cr!mea either under his control or out of the Cr!mea. One can guess what one of the first executive orders of the Cr!mean Parliament is likely to be once the referendum result is in if the U forces are still there.

Now if K’iev does not recognize the result, and order its forces out, what happens next ?

David Cameron drug policy reformer and leadership contender in 2005…

“Politicians attempt to appeal to the lowest common denominator by posturing with tough policies and calling for crackdown after crackdown. Drugs policy has been failing for decades.”

“Digger” Murdoch says:

Is it just me, or is Nigel Farage just a top hat and a monocle away from being a Batman villain?
