WATCH: Question Time Audience Member Walks Out

Immigration was the issue of the day during last night’s Question Time in Barking. It all got a bit much for one audience member:

To be fair, the audience was two stops short of Dagenham…

disgusting how BBC pro immigration audience booed him for being homeless and for him pointing out immigrants get more assistance than someone in his position.

Truly disgusting. What astonished me was the Pavlovian response to ANY criticism, no matter how mild, no matter how true, of immigrants and immigration. The Jooo immediately attempted to smear the audience member by first mentioning blacks, then the audience erupted into applause at the prospect of being usurped, in their own nation’s streets, by blacks. It’s also annoying that the panel members were desperate to display their own immigrant credentials, even though they are irrelevant. No-one is concerned about immigration from Australia, because the immigrants are coming from a civilised society, are qualified and as soon as they pitch up here they pay taxes in a meaningful job. If they were piling in in their millions, demanding the law be changed, society itself be changed even, just to suit them, at the blatantly obvious expense of the indigenous, things would be different. People seem to think that they are entitled to have the moral high ground if they pull out the ‘Actually, I’m an immigrant’ card. They seem to forget that this makes them not impartial and that they therefore should just STFU.

I haven’t watched QT for years, because it winds me up, so I’m not sure if this is an aberration or if this is standard operating procedure. I suspect the latter.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he was a BBC plant, put there to create/reinforce the perception that the white working class are bigots and racists.

I’d have Dimbleby bankrupted, working in a factory cleaning the bogs for minimum wage, living in a tower block in Peckham, with a load of savages as his neighbours. See how he likes it. Twat.

Many people will have had similar experiences – being told by an immigrant member of staff at a job-centre or recruitment agency that there are no jobs.

Many will have arrived at an airport to have their passport inspected by an immigrant.

            These are indeed facts.

Fact is a fair few Muslims bomb their way round the world, including Israel. Muslims even kill each other in those hateful civil wars of theirs. Then they blame the USA, except that the blame lies with the murderers, adults, who are deciding to take aim and fire at each other in cold blood.

Muslims flee/fled to this Christian country to seek asylum. They pay pan-continental fares to do it. Not short of a few bob. When they could take trains, much cheaper and go to the whopping fifty Muslim countries local to all the others in the Mid East region.

Time to admit that asylum seekers should do the decent thing – to apologise for the inconvenience caused, thank the UK for the help and to then leave

Totally agree, the few white people in my town are working class, low paid or unemployed and some are homeless and cannot read or write English. They are the first ones to be branded as racists or bigots for speaking their mind and voicing their frustrations.

The middle class whites have mainly left or are just visitors, commuting in to get the better paid white collar jobs.

It made me angry to see what happened to that man, the way some of the headlines made out he was “ranting” and how the situation “exploded”.
The man was rightly upset and had no where to turn, and for the audience having immigrants or those who descended from immigrants belittling the man’s experience as a perception rather than reality is wrong.

Very true, my Wife and I were driving back from a meal last night. High powered car comes roaring past on a bend, so the wife flashes her main beam at him, next thing is he’s stopped his car. We try getting past which he keeps preventing us from doing, finally he lets us get alongside and my wife drops the passenger window to ask what he’s playing at, the idiot behind the wheel doesn’t say a word just spits at us. We get home and phone the Police, chap explains its Assault, we manage to give them part of the number plate and colour and make of car etc. Police phone back later and say the man is know to them and we can wipe the spit we were hoping they’d swab of the seat now.
Whats the betting it won’t get any where as they have no evidence now and that if we’d said we were Black etc we’d have got a more prompt visit from our local Constabulary?

Beard didn;t even live there but was able to tell the person how wrong she was and that the place was nothing like as portrayed.

So many of these panellists never fail to display just how out of touch they are with ordinary people.

The fact is that all of our political elite of whichever party decided long ago that this country needs an 80 million plus population to compete economically with the likes of the emerging economies of the East, and also Germany. The indigenous population birth rate was never going to provide that level of increase, so immigration was the only way they could achieve the projected figures in the required time scale. Hence the mealy mouthed bleating of the politicians saying they will crack down, and then doing fuck all, especially Cameron.

It’s the minimum wage not immigration that is to blame for high unemployment.

Germany (without a minimum wage) consistently has a much lower unemployment rate than the UK/USA .

This clearly shows that the minimum wage is a jobs destroyer.

It’s high time both the UK and USA abolished the minimum wage so we can get unemployment, especially youth unemployment, down.

I then think that 20 hours per week is far too much, and I don’t want the paperwork of administering two jobs. I create 1.4 million zero hour contract jobs and hey presto!

We should have a minimum wage for SME’s! £6.50 ph.
A minimum wage for larger employers £10.50 ph.

The reason for high unemployment, is we have no manufacturing base? Since Thatcher sold all our manufacturing and Utilities, these jobs have never been replaced, ‘Privatisation’ doesn’t help because these companies want the same job done with less manpower, which obviously leads to lower wages.
Minimum wage, was introduced to stop people being used and is just a guarantee of profits for companies as they will not pay more than forced to.
These jobs, Steel, Ship Building, Farming, Fishing & Agriculture, Mining, Dock’s and more provided work for hundreds of thousands of people, Maggie got rid, but the people are STILL here! Technology should have been taxed long ago, who will pay for the next 3 million unemployed in 10 years time? We need to start bringing out a Basic Income, as the Swiss are talking of now, funded by vast profits of banks and the big profits companies using technology make!

Rather than give him money or walk on by she asked him why he was begging on the streets, she was shocked by his answer. He said he was 19 yrs old & had been working & training at a Greek restaraunt & the job came with a bed-sit over the workplace. The boss a nice guy said that his brother was coming from Cyprus & he would have to let him go to accomodate his brother & his brother would be doing his job! OK he thought I can sign on the dole & look for work. All went well until he was asked for an address,he didn`t have one & was told to come back when he did, he tried to get accomodation but could not because he was not recieving benefit. Long story short , my sister in law put him up in a spare room so he had an address & could smarten himself up. Given that start he has not looked back, a really nice kid. What would have happened to the kid without her help. He wasn`t what we used to call a `dole queue lawyer` or street wise just a victim! “
