A Little Less Representation

Labour won last night’s council by-election in Clifton North, but the only real story was the LibDems being beaten by this man.

Sounds about right.

LibDems are over. No one is factoring that into the 2015 result. LibDems are absolutely stone dead. In Wythenshare they couldn’t raise half a dozen people to campaign.

well .. the FDP were wiped out overnight in Germany kast year . From 93 seats to zero in one day .

mind you they do have proportional representation over there and any party who gets less than five percent of the vote cannot be represented .
on the negative side ….. the FDP were the coalition partners of Merkel and although she nearly got one she failed to obtsin an absolute majority.

Which means she is condemned to five years of infighting with the Luddite Social Democrats…..

Surely the real issue is that all three of them (LibLabCon) are really just branches of the same self serving elite? All three have long ceased to have a real connection to their alleged constituency of support and pay lip service to it as it suits them. They all really want a Federal Europe with power devolved upward to an appointed executive and knee jerk elected legislature without power.

Vauxhall – We have a car, its OK just about, but one of our competitors (Ford) has launched a model that looks the same, but goes faster, is available with more options that are actually available, drives better, and is seen more as a car of the people rather than for posh out of touch folk.

So the question is “Should Vauxhall get the sh1t together and offer something the customers want, or should we simply burn Ford to the ground?”

I believe the complainants. I knew someone who once worked with Lawson years ago and she told me he’s an absolute arsehole of the highest order.

Mark Lawson, the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, is to leave the nightly arts programme after 16 years. The broadcaster’s departure follows allegations of bullying among several staff in the BBC Radio arts unit.

Graham Ellis, the deputy director of BBC Radio, was reportedly given a petition signed by 15 members of the Radio Arts Unit, making claims against Lawson and another BBC producer. They apparently complained of “appalling behaviour” and the “browbeating” of junior staff working on Front Row.
